Location: Baker Hall, 215 Baker Road, home of The Wilding Foundation Maker’s Space and Gallery generously made possible by the Ethan Wilding and the Wilding Foundation Cocktails at 5:00: We are thrilled to welcome Jeffrey Boone who will lead us in a conversation about contemporary art over cocktails. Jeffrey Boone is a collector, consultant, patron, and one-time dealer. He has organized numerous exhibitions in commercial galleries, managed events, and led international art tours focused on supporting access to contemporary art and the conversations around it. He has a BFA from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a PBD in art history from UBC. He is currently completing an MA in Critical and Curatorial Studies at UBC where he is curating an exhibition of Rebecca Belmore at the Museum of Anthropology. Dining to follow: Haidee Hart of The Woodshed will expertly prepare Salt Spring Island’s bounty for a sit-down multi course dinner served on the world-renowned dishes of ceramist Janaki Larsen accompanied by Gary Oakes wine. Roaming dessert: We will be surrounded by an exhibition of Salt Spring contemporary art.
