The Painters Guild has generously sponsored a new (and tenth) award for SSNAP.

The Salt Spring Island Painters Guild Award of $1000 will be chosen by the national jurors from the finalists of the Salt Spring National Art Prize. It will be awarded at the Gala Awards Night for an outstanding two dimensional painted artwork that demonstrates artistic excellence.

“The Salt Spring Island Painters Guild offers its large membership an array of opportunities that include painting, drawing, printmaking, calligraphy and mixed media. Its enthusiastic members learn together and show their works in three annual exhibitions.”
