Connie Kuhns has a decades-long history as an essayist, journalist, broadcaster and photographer. Her essays have been finalists in publications ranging from the L.A. Review Literary Awards, to Prism International, to the NYT Modern Love column and the Frank McCourt Memoir Prize. Her photographs have been shown in slide shows at the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Elissa Cristall Gallery, Chernoff Fine Art, POD Contemporary, and the Pendulum, published in the Washington Post, and appeared on the occasional album cover. Kuhns was named Outstanding Salt Spring Artist at the SSNAP 2021 awards. She is the author of the book “Rubymusic: A Popular History of Women’s Music and Culture.”
