I wanted to paint my parents to tell their story. They left their home in Korea with my two older brothers and me to start a new life in Canada. My parents went through a lot of hardship trying to earn a living to support the family. Over the years, they have survived the turmoil and strife of their marriage. My mother, until the end, took care of my father until his death recently. This simple image of them eating together shows their love and commitment to each other.
