Brave women, speak, share their experiences in the hope of being heard, healing, bringing to light the darkness of society. These beautiful souls are then shut down or ignored completely. Speak, brave women – but only if it’s exactly what “I” want to hear. Is it really truth we seek?

Kim Cooper is an artist, designer and community facilitator. She studied fine art in the US and BC and has exhibited her sculptures in Colorado, Washington, Ontario and BC. Kim's art practice is grounded in our human connection to the world through making, exploring, and transforming within contemporary society. She explores this connection on an individual and a larger societal level, questioning the human condition, the environment and how art can foster connection and community or alienate. She explores her/our emotional response and reaction to situations in society, then tries to transform that into a tangible artefact, a physical manifestation of our emotional landscape. She sees each project as an opportunity to engage people on both intellectual and visceral planes, bringing others into contact with their environment in a new and unexpected way.
