Vandepolder has exhibited at public and private galleries across Canada, with a current solo exhibition at Studio 21 Fine Art Gallery in Halifax. Other solo exhibitions include: After-glow, Telephone Booth Gallery, Toronto and Viewpoints, Al Green Gallery, Toronto. She is the recipient of numerous awards including Best in Show, Elora Arts Council Award, Ellen Langlands Memorial Award and First Prize. Her paintings are in national, private and corporate collections, including BMO Financial Group and Colart, Montreal. She lives and works in the Greater Toronto Area. “My painting practice draws from everyday life, the intensity of ordinary moments and how they change over time. Subjects of interest vary from portraying family members to familiar landscapes and domestic interiors. Paintings are created with a specific focus on subtle shifts in colour, variation in medium with thin and thickly textured surface and gestural marks.”
