Hand-cut leather, ironing board, wood burning, unframed

The work “Conditioning” serves as a symbol for the dual nature of conditioning. It is simultaneously the blueprint we need in order to live functionally, as well as the curse we fight all our lives. By utilizing an old wooden ironing board, hand-cut leather, and wood-burning, the work portrays ironed layers of conditioning, some of which will shed over time, while others will last lifetimes. This work is hung at an angle thus casting an intentional shadow on the wall.
