Checkup Nicola WhestonSalt Spring Island , BC Size 18.5" x 15.5" Medium Coloured pencils on rag paper These drawings are part of an extension of my series “Drawing My New World Disorder,” born out of my bout with Covid in March of 2020. It’s in this New World ‘existential’ disorder and absurdity that I find solace, hope, and grief in communing with a fly, sneezing in a mask, or getting poked in my snout. We are survivors, and many are not.
