The Salt Spring National Art Prize (SSNAP) thanks all who applied for its recent hiring competitions, and is delighted to announce the appointment of our three new team members.

SSNAP welcomes:

  • Zoe, Operations Manager
  • Nancy Côté, Website and IT Manager
  • Skye Larmour, Communications Specialist

These core positions will support SSNAP’s continued growth and recognition as Canada’s premier exhibition of visual art.

Zoe, BA BEd, has a long history of involvement in the arts. Over the past 20 years, she has managed art galleries and arts events, in addition to leading youth art camps. Previously, Zoe managed SSNAP’s successful Parallel Art Show and closing gala in 2021.

As Operations Manager, Zoe will supervise and coordinate all aspects of SSNAP operations, including working with staff and volunteers, managing key operational activities, and providing support to the Board Chair.

Nancy Côté, BEng, MSc, has an extensive background in information technology and information management, including implementing, training and supporting staff on critical IT infrastructure. She previously provided IT support and website administration to SSNAP in 2021.

In her role as Website and IT Manager, Nancy will manage the society’s website and oversee SSNAP’s technology infrastructure. She will also advise and train staff and volunteers on data management.

Skye Larmour, MDIT, has worked as a communications professional for many years, spanning the fields of graphic design, promotional content writing for print and online media, and community engagement through social media.

As the Communications Specialist, Skye will design and write promotional communications to engage the public. This includes contributing content to the SSNAP website, managing the organization’s social media channels, and designing print pieces.

“I am absolutely delighted to have our stellar support team in place and helping us prepare for an exciting SSNAP 2023,” says Janet Halliwell, SSNAP Society Board Chair.
