Parallel Art Show Finalist Panel

Thursday, October 5th, 2023
12pm
ArtSpring Galleries, 100 Jackson Ave, Salt Spring Island

An informal, deep discussion on artistic process and development. The discussion will be rooted in the experiences and work of four exceptional Southern Gulf Island artists and PAS 2023/24 Finalists: Kenna Barradel (painting), Martin Herbert (installation), Bly Kaye (paper collage), and Doreen Palme (carving).

We will explore how each artist creates their very particular work, and how these processes and inspirations may have altered over the years, as they have matured as artists, and as people in a changing world. There will be some time put aside for the audience to direct questions to the artists. Richard Steel will moderate the creative discussion.
