Walks with my father through woodlands and growing vegetables together, instilled a deep connection with the plant world. Through botanical printing I share the beauty, science and magic of plants. Eri silk fabric is treated with natural minerals and tannins before arranging botanicals on its surface. The bundle is rolled around a dowel, bound with a cord and steamed, coaxing the release of plants natural pigments, creating a light fast print. Each print serves as a tribute to the diversity of plant life, emphasizing their vital role in our existence, for without them we would not exist. Embellished with hand stitching.
