Andrea Russell, a multimedia artist whose work in precious metal, leather and found objects is rooted in the timeless landscape of the Gulf Islands. Andrea delights in transforming the viewer into participant, the wearable into ritual. Recent series include Tafoni, inspired by wave-carved sandstone, and The Forest Guardians, protectors of myth and moss. Pieces from BeWilder (2025) explores the fragile tension between chaos and control—our wild and civilized selves. Her practice is deeply informed by reverence for the natural world and a commitment to ecological awareness. She loves teaching silversmithing and mask making from her Galiano home studio.
