Fae Logie's art practice concerns itself with connections between the poetic, conceptual and environmental within the context of real and imagined space. Predominantly based in sculptural installation, her work uses found and manipulated objects, drawings, video and photography to explore our relationship with our environment, both wild and urban settings, humans and non-humans. Interested in making correspondences between local and distant landscapes, she has exhibited and participated in artist residencies across Canada, including Dawson City, Yukon as well as Reykjavik, Iceland, King's Lynn, UK, Whangarai, New Zealand and Trondheim, Norway. Logie is part of the Vancouver-based artist collective, 'Art Is Land Network', often working on collaborative projects with other member artists including outdoor exhibits for Granville Island, Dr. Sun Yat-sen Public Park and the Vancouver Maritime Museum. She has a MFA degree from the University of British Columbia, though initially she studied science at Simon Fraser University, a discipline that continues to inform her work. Logie lives and works on Bowen Island.
