With this piece, I attempted to turn the loss of a local piano into a non-figurative homage to the multiplicity of colors, textures, and shapes it might have inspired during its lifetime. The loom itself became the frame, supported by steel action brackets and crowned by the hammer bar and brass pedals. Scraps from other projects were woven in dialogue with copper strings and felted hammers. With a jazzy style, the design was improvised during the weaving.
