Lichens have long captivated me with their quiet resilience, complex structures, and symbiotic nature. They speak to environmental health and reflect the intersection of my dual backgrounds as both a biologist and an artist. As I walk the hills near my home, their intricate forms ground me in presence and attentiveness. With this work, I aim to offer the viewer a similar experience—a moment of stillness and connection with the often-overlooked details of the natural world.
