Fundamentally this triptych portrays a classic battle between good and evil in a contemporary context.

The fist panel depicts the Kremlin’s decline over the past two centuries including Stalin’s death road or death railroad.

The second panel illustrates its desperate attempt at overtaking Eastern Europe’s bread basket by invading armies.

The third panel depicts Ukraine’s pastoral, if not idealized, view of its country side and village life.

About the artist

A lifelong passion for painting, drawing, and design since the age of 7 led me to a successful career as an architect. That profession took me to many interesting parts of the world where I lived and worked, including London, San Francisco, Doha, Chile, Trinidad, and Tobago. My work today, in many ways, has been shaped by my experiences within those cultures over the past 40 or more years. Today my focus is to paint with purpose and intuition at the same time. For me, the vitality of painting emerges from a willingness to surrender to process and letting go of outcomes.
