859-853 West 17th Avenue Bronwyn AustinSalt Spring Island, BC Size 24" x 36" Medium Coloured Pencil on Paper This project started from my love of walking around Vancouver. At the time, the housing market was becoming prohibitively expensive. Multi-unit residential towers were going up aplenty all over the city. I feel this is ruining the character of Vancouver and its neighbourhoods. These drawings are portraits of historical houses. I hope the viewer will recognize their value and realize the loss if these amazing houses are demolished. 859-853 West 17th Avenue Bronwyn AustinSalt Spring Island, BC About the artist About the artist Bronwyn AustinSalt Spring Island, BC Bronwyn Austin was born and raised in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
