Cast bronze, basalt base
My intention in creating this cast bronze sculpture, “Aligned”, is to reflect the deep commonality that all life shares while visually appearing to be significantly different. These superficial differences can create division, imbalance of power, and conflict. It is fascinating to realize that a bird and a plant share, on average, 40% of the same genetic code. Mankind and eagles share 84% of their DNA. Humans are 99.9% genetically the same as each other, regardless of race, ethnic background, gender, or borders. Being in alignment with each other and nature allows for unified survival, balance, and beauty.
