Reduction linocut

A still river sounds like an oxymoron. Is a river ever still? And yet, the evening stillness of the river presents such a clear reflection of the surrounding mountains that it appears to descend into another world. The calm water lets me be still in a world of constant motion. This river has many moods that lets me flow along at its pace, not mine. This 16-color reduction linocut print evolves like a flowing river; changing and shedding until it emerges at the end.
