After finding my passion for ceramic arts during a weekend workshop in 2020, I immediately began creating functional and sculptural work. I am inspired by the beauty of the nature around me here on Salt Spring Island, especially in the forest surrounding my cabin. I love the creative process of making art with clay: I enjoy working with my hands, creating the texture and detail in real and fantastical flowers, and seeing where they take me each time. Over the last few years, my floral pieces have evolved into complex sculptures of imaginary worlds and I hope viewers find themselves being taken to a different place.
