Made of layered vegetable-tanned leather scraps and formed using techniques inspired by ceramics and woodworking, their surfaces shift between flexibility and solidity, matte and gloss. They are inextricably yet impermanently bound, suspended in a tenuous balance. Evoking an artifact from a forgotten place, these pendulous urn-like figures are both familiar and surreal. Each element is recognizable, yet together their purpose becomes dissonant, suggesting remnants of an altered world. Buy artwork If I ask the question differently, will it change the answer?
