My works focus on themes of identity, oftentimes introspective and addressing both personal questions and broader societal queries, all examined within the context of everyday life. You have your mother’s eyes is something I’ve heard my whole life. Frankly, I do. But perhaps it transcends mere looks. Over time, I’ve come to see the world through her eyes too. This painting leans into that resemblance, not just in appearance but in the things passed down—strengths, fears, beliefs. It explores inheritance beyond the physical, the things we pick up just by watching the people who raise us.
