Each coin—once currency, now artifact—bears the weight of empire and industry. Through hand-riveting, I engage in a slow, tactile process that reclaims these objects from their mechanized origins. The act is repetitive and intimate; it becomes a form of resistance to erasure. By altering these tokens of commerce and control, I create a material language that speaks to resilience, memory, and the personal labour of witnessing and repair. Having grown up in a multifaith family attending Sunday mass, Buddhist ceremonies, and New Age conferences with her mother, she is interested in spirituality, dowsing, alchemy, and power. A natural history enthusiast and an avid collector, she gathers specimens of mineral, botanical, animal and industrial origins and investigates how cultural heritage and personal hauntology intertwine through divination arts and folklore.
