This is the first piece (printed in 2022) from a series titled “Home Made—A Photographic Frieze.” Throughout 2020/21, I documented the ever-changing landscape of constructed then deconstructed homes in this encampment. This is a new direction from a previous series titled “Home Made—A Photographic Frieze.” During the pandemic I documented the changing landscape of constructed then deconstructed homes in an encampment in Strathcona Park. This park, almost overnight, housed 500 residents. The story unfolded and revealed how residents of this temporary community demarked/ personalized their allotted space, creating order and an element of distinction out of chaos.
